Tesla in fear

Tesla has introduced a new clause in the Cybertruck purchase agreement that prohibits resale of the vehicle within the first year of purchase without the company's consent. This change, announced ahead of the Cybertruck's November 30, 2023 premiere deliveries, provides for serious consequences for violations - legal action and damages of $50,000 or sales equivalent, whichever is greater, are possible. A violation may also result in a ban on purchasing further Tesla vehicles. Exceptions to this rule are possible, but require written consent from Tesla, which may offer to buy the car at a reduced price or allow it to be resold to a third party. The first units of the Cybertruck, released to a limited group of customers, will be of particular value as mass production will not start until 2024.

Is Tesla afraid of flippers who, because their Cybertruck is so desired by the market, will buy more units and immediately resell them for a huge profit?

Google sues fraudsters

Google is filing a lawsuit against fraudsters who took advantage of Bard's popularity and spread malware. Fake websites and social media ads they created, probably Vietnamese, encouraged people to download a counterfeit version of Bard, which was actually malware. This software stole access data to social media. In a lawsuit filed in California, Google directs its actions against three anonymous perpetrators who illegally use its trademarks. The company has also taken steps to prevent further fraud, having filed approximately 300 removal requests for fraudulent content and is now pursuing legal preventive measures, including the disabling of malicious domains by US registrars.

So the technology giant Google, associated with great effectiveness, now becomes a victim of online fraud, reminding us that even in the world of AI there is no place free for scams.

Biden and Jinping are playing for one goal

The presidents of the United States, Joe Biden, and China, Xi Jinping, are expected to reach an agreement limiting the use of artificial intelligence in nuclear arms control systems. This agreement, signed during the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Summit in San Francisco, comes at a time of growing tensions between the two countries, especially in the field of military technologies. A key point of the talks will be the restriction of AI in autonomous weapons systems and supervision of nuclear warheads. This initiative reflects the shared commitment of the US and China to the responsible use of AI in defense.

Apparently even political rivals like the US and China can find common ground when it comes to limiting AI. Unless this is just another game of chess in the global game of technological superiority.
