These developments point to the growing importance of AI and the cloud in technology, with promising prospects for Microsoft's future market performance compared to Apple's challenges.

Microsoft has finally overtaken Apple, proving that even the biggest giant can stumble over its own innovations when it sleeps through the artificial intelligence revolution.

Copilot Pro

Microsoft is introducing Copilot Pro, a paid subscription to its chatbot for $20 a month. Available to Microsoft 365 Personal and Family subscribers, it offers advanced features like AI in Office and priority access to the latest OpenAI models, including the new Copilot GPT Builder. Copilot for Microsoft 365 is now available for small businesses, with subscriptions starting at $30 per user per month. Microsoft also announced the official release of the Copilot app for iOS and Android.

It will be interesting to see how the new Copilot Pro and the limitations in the free version will affect the availability and use of AI by Microsoft 365 users.

300 million jobs will disappear

A report by the International Monetary Fund predicts that AI will affect 40% of jobs worldwide, particularly threatening older workers. In high-income countries, the risk is greater because AI can automate highly skilled work - 60% of jobs will be affected. The IMF predicts that AI could increase inequality and lead to social tensions. A Goldman Sachs report estimates that AI could replace up to 300 million jobs worldwide.

I wonder if the IMF report on AI replacing workers was itself generated by artificial intelligence, or if it was still written by humans.
