Is this the new iPhone killer?

Humane, Inc. launched AI Pin, an innovative wearable device priced at $699 with a $24 monthly subscription. Powered by the Snapdragon processor, AI Pin makes it easy to interact with AI models, offering features such as voice messaging, calling and real-time translation. Without a traditional home screen, the device focuses on simplicity and efficiency. It has a 13MP camera for photos and videos, and the "Trust Light" informs you about data collection. A key feature is connectivity to AI models via AI Mic software, powered by GPT-4 from OpenAI and Microsoft. Humane's ambition is to simplify interactions with technology and make everyday tasks easier.

The product looks great and I am very positive about it, but of course the final assessment of its value and functionality will only come after personal testing.

Nvidia in China

Nvidia announced three new AI chips for the Chinese market: HGX H20, L20 PCIe and L2 PCIe. This comes in response to U.S. restrictions that prevented the company from selling its advanced A800 and H800 AI chips, as well as its leading L40S gaming chip, to Chinese companies. These restrictions, which went into effect on October 24, could benefit local companies such as Huawei Technologies. Baidu, the Chinese internet giant, has already ordered significant quantities of AI chips from Huawei. Nvidia, which dominates China's $7 billion AI chip market with a share of more than 90%, saw its shares rise 1.8% ahead of the opening of the New York Stock Exchange.

Nvidia is introducing new AI chips to the Chinese market in an effort to counter trade restrictions, but will it be enough to maintain its dominant position against the competition?

New AR lenses from Snaptchat

Snapchat introduced new AR lenses powered by ChatGPT during its annual developer event, Lens Fest. The latest beta version of Lens Studio allows you to create filters with ChatGPT integration, such as a solar system filter that answers questions. AI Snap Lenses now also offer quizzes and draw features. The company had previously made My AI, a ChatGPT-based chatbot, available to all users for free. Other platforms like YouTube, Meta and TikTok are also implementing AI in photo editing and filters. Snap's developer tools have been expanded to include a 3D face mask generator and project collaboration capabilities.

I wonder if the new augmented reality (AR) lenses from Snapchat will be as groundbreaking as their previous glasses, which, judging by sales reports, unfortunately did not win our hearts and did not convince us.
